It’s Not Too Late to Kick off 2020 on the right foot!

Can you guys believe we’re already halfway into January? Have you been sticking to your New year resolution? If you haven’t got one yet, then you can still jump on the bandwagon. Here is our take on 7 New Year’s resolution ideas that are good for your mind, body, soul, and even the environment.

 

1. Set a goal to work out to be healthy

Aim higher this 2020 by becoming healthy, not thin. Having a great body is a bonus after spending all those hours at the gym, but set your mind for the long-term goal, which is being healthy. Remember, getting “the” body is easy, but getting your health after not taking good care of it will be harder.

 

2. Use less plastic

Make this year a new era of less plastic. There are so many ways in which you can reduce the use of plastics these days, use a bamboo, glass or stainless steel straws instead of plastic straw, bring your own plastic-free shopping bag to the supermarket. And most importantly, don’t forget to pack your own bottle when travelling & training to avoid buying those one-time-use plastic bottles.

 

3. Read more books

Everyone loves Netflix and chill, but why not start a new habit to read and chill instead. Reading can be a fulfilling activity and it also helps your brain to focus better, in ways that TV can’t. Challenge yourself by setting a goal to read a certain number of books this year and maybe even join a local book club to give extra motivation.

 

4. Build a budget

Take charge of your finance this year by carefully planning your budget. Do you always dream of taking that one year off to travel the world? Or starting a fitness studio or vegan café in some dreamy location? Plan your finance well so you can finally reach your dream. New clothes, shoes, fitness accessories are great – but do you really need them? Cut down on unnecessary spending and build a budget for your dream.

 

5. Try new fitness routines

Do you always want to try a new fitness regime? Go to the CrossFit gym around the corner? Or finally, take up on that surfing lesson? Well, 2020 is the year to do it! Now, we’re not saying that you have to commit to it. You can give it a go once and see how you like it. If you do like that surf lesson and want to take it on seriously, then good for you! And if you don’t, it’s fine, at least you’ve tried it. But make 2020 the year to try some new fitness activity.

 

6. Join a fitness club

Now that you’ve started a new fitness routine, why not amp it up by joining a fitness club? You will be able to meet other like-minded fitness enthusiasts and community that could help you to reach the fitness goal you desire.
